YOU MAY HAVE heard someone say that Jehovah's witnesses interpret the Bible to suit themselves. Now most people who try to please themselves look out for their own interests and make things easy. Yet the interpretation of the Bible Jehovah's witnesses adhere to has not been an easy one to follow. Actually we do not interpret the Bible either privately or as an organization. Remember, Jesus said concerning those who would be watching,[121] "The master ... will gird himself and have them sit at table, and he will come and serve them." (Italics mine.) |
QUIZÁ HAYA oído a alguien decir que los testigos de Jehová interpretan la Biblia como les conviene. La mayoría de la gente que intenta agradarse a sí misma busca sus propios intereses y la manera de facilitarse las cosas. Sin embargo, la interpretación de la Biblia a la que se adhieren los testigos de Jehová no ha sido sencilla de seguir. En realidad, no interpretamos las Escrituras, ni en privado ni como organización. Recuerde, Jesús anunció respecto a los que estuvieran vigilantes: [121] “su señor […] se ceñirá, y hará que se sienten a la mesa, y vendrá a servirles.” |

That means the entire Society or family are seated at the Lord's spiritual table and all are fed together from God's Word at the hand of their Master, Jesus Christ. Although they study individually also, it is not a private matter with each one, because of their group study. In this way, since all receive individual instruction, they all become individually qualified for their ministry. Yet since they spiritually eat together at the one source, their understanding is uniform. They are not divided by conflicting private interpretations. Then how does the interpretation come? |
Eso significa que la entera Sociedad, o familia, se sienta a la mesa espiritual del Señor, y que todos se alimentan juntos de la Palabra de Dios a manos de su Amo, Jesucristo. Aunque también estudian individualmente, no se trata de una cuestión personal de cada uno, debido a su estudio en grupo. De esta manera, puesto que todos ellos reciben instrucción espiritual, todos llegan a estar preparados individualmente para su ministerio. Pero, puesto que reciben su alimento espiritual de la misma fuente, su entendimiento es uniforme. No están divididos por interpretaciones privadas en conflicto. Entonces, ¿cómo alcanzan esas interpretaciones? |
